Tradovate sync or Rithmic CSV

How to journal your TradeDay account with MAV

TradeDay issues a Tradovate login on some accounts and a Rithmic login on others. Which one you hold decides the path below. This guide covers how those trades get into MAV, the platforms TradeDay runs on, a summary of its published rules and what MAV tracks for the account.

How your TradeDay trades get into MAV

Auto-sync

Auto-sync with your Tradovate login

Connect the Tradovate login TradeDay issued, once, with one-click OAuth. The connection is read-only: every fill files itself into your journal and the account’s balance is read from Tradovate on its own. Trades you place from NinjaTrader or TradingView on that login come through the same connection. For days before you connected, import Tradovate’s Performance export as a CSV — it uses the same trade ids as the sync, so nothing is counted twice.

CSV import

Import from R|Trader Pro (Rithmic)

If your TradeDay account has a Rithmic login, there is no live Rithmic connection in MAV today, so trades come in as a CSV export from R|Trader Pro.

  1. 1Open R|Trader Pro and go to Order History.
  2. 2Pick one day at a time and export it.
  3. 3Drop the files into the importer in MAV.

Or import from NinjaTrader

Trading the Rithmic login from NinjaTrader? Export from NinjaTrader instead and MAV’s NinjaTrader reader takes the file.

  1. 1In NinjaTrader open Control Center → Trade Performance.
  2. 2Right-click the Executions grid and export to CSV.
  3. 3Drop the file into the importer in MAV.

“Universal CSV template” means MAV has no dedicated reader for that platform: if it exports your trade history, the export is mapped into MAV’s CSV template.

Questions

›Does MAV sync my TradeDay account automatically?

If your TradeDay account has a Tradovate login, yes: connect it once and fills file themselves, read-only. If it has a Rithmic login, not today — those trades come in as a CSV export from R|Trader Pro. Auto-sync is part of MAV’s paid plans.

›How do I import TradeDay trades from a CSV?

From Rithmic: 1. Open R|Trader Pro and go to Order History. 2. Pick one day at a time and export it. 3. Drop the files into the importer in MAV.

›Does MAV know TradeDay’s rules?

MAV’s public rulebook describes 24 TradeDay plans across 3 programs, each with its source and the date it was checked (most recently October 6, 2026). Add your account to The Stack and pick your plan: the rules prefill, and you can edit any rule that differs from your own terms. Firms change rules often, so your agreement with the firm is always the authority.

›Can MAV place trades or change anything on my TradeDay account?

No. A Tradovate connection is a one-way read of your fills and a CSV is a file you upload, so MAV never places, cancels or modifies an order, holds no funds, and cannot lock you out of your platform or your firm’s account.

›Is MAV affiliated with TradeDay?

No. MAV by Market Mavericks is an independent journaling and analytics tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with TradeDay; the firm’s name is used only to identify whose accounts this guide is about.

Journal your TradeDay account in MAV

Connect or import once, add the account to The Stack, and every trade files under the account it came from — with the firm’s rules prefilled and editable. Read-only: MAV never places a trade.
