Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026 · Last updated August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Market Mavericks ("Market Mavericks," "MAV," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use mavtradeapp.com, MAV, and any related websites, applications, dashboards, trade journal tools, artificial intelligence features, subscriptions, communications, and services.
By using MAV, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MAV.
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information.
Account information
We may collect your name, email address, username, password or authentication information, profile settings, preferences, subscription status, and account identifiers.
Payment and subscription information
Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. We may receive limited billing information such as subscription plan, payment status, invoice records, billing email, billing address, last four digits of a payment method, transaction identifiers, and tax-related information. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers.
Trading journal and app data
If you use MAV, we may collect information you enter, upload, import, or generate, including:
- Trade records.
- CSV files.
- Broker export data.
- Symbols, instruments, timestamps, entries, exits, fees, P&L, notes, tags, screenshots, strategy names, emotions, mistakes, goals, playbooks, and journal entries.
- Dashboard settings, widgets, filters, watchlists, preferences, and analytics results.
- Questions, prompts, and responses involving MAV Coach or other AI features.
Market and feature interaction data
We may collect information about how you interact with MAV, such as pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, session activity, import history, AI message usage, subscription events, error logs, and performance diagnostics.
Device and technical information
We may collect IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring URLs, pages visited, session identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, cookies, and similar technologies.
How you found MAV
When you first visit, we may record how you arrived: the campaign tags on the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), the name of the website that sent you (the site only, not the full address), the page you landed on, the click identifier Meta adds to links from its ads (fbclid), and the creator link you used, if any. When you sign up you can also tell us where you heard about MAV. That question is optional and skipping it changes nothing. We keep these details with your account so we can see which channels bring people to MAV.
Communications
If you contact us, we may collect your message, email address, contact information, attachments, support history, and related records.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from service providers, authentication providers, payment processors, analytics providers, market data providers, email tools, or other integrations you use with MAV.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve MAV.
- Create and manage accounts.
- Process payments and subscriptions.
- Import, parse, store, and analyze trade journal data.
- Generate dashboards, analytics, risk metrics, calendar views, and other app features.

- Send transactional emails, service notices, billing notices, security alerts, and product updates.
- Monitor performance, debug errors, secure the service, and prevent abuse.
- Enforce our Terms and protect users, MAV, and third parties.

- Analyze aggregate usage trends and improve product design.
AI processing
MAV may use third-party artificial intelligence providers to process prompts, journal data, trade data, screenshots, notes, and other information you submit or generate when using AI features.
AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should not include sensitive personal information in AI prompts unless necessary for your use of MAV.
Where available, we configure AI providers and internal systems to support product functionality, security, and privacy. However, third-party AI providers may process data according to their own terms, policies, and technical controls.
How we share information
We may share information with the following categories of recipients.
Service providers
We may share information with vendors that help us provide MAV, including hosting providers, database providers, authentication providers, payment processors, market data providers, AI providers, analytics providers, email providers, logging tools, customer support tools, review platforms, and security tools.
Payment processors
Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Their use of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Review platforms
We use Trustpilot to collect customer reviews. After you start a paid subscription, we may send Trustpilot a review invitation on your behalf. To do that, we share a limited set of information with Trustpilot: your email address, your display name (your MAV username, or the part of your email before the @ if you have not set one), and a reference identifier for the subscription (your payment-processor customer ID, or your account ID). We do not send Trustpilot your trades, journal entries, notes, analytics, or any other trading data.
Trustpilot uses that information to send you an invitation to review MAV and to verify that a review came from a real customer. Trustpilot is an independent company and acts as its own data controller for reviews you write and for information it collects from you directly; its use of your information is governed by Trustpilot's own terms and privacy policy.
Review invitations are optional. You do not have to write a review, and you can decline or unsubscribe from Trustpilot's invitations using the link in the invitation itself or through Trustpilot directly. Reviews you publish on Trustpilot are public, and are hosted by Trustpilot rather than by us. If you would prefer that we not send Trustpilot an invitation at all, contact us and we will exclude your account.
Advertising measurement (Meta)
We may use the Meta Pixel on our website and the Meta Conversions API on our servers to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram work. These tell Meta when someone visits our public pages, creates an account, starts a free trial, or starts a paid subscription.
What we send to Meta: the page visited, the kind of event (for example, "started a trial"), the price for a subscription purchase, a one-way scrambled ("hashed") version of your email address and of your account ID, Meta's own browser cookies (_fbp and _fbc), and your browser type. When an account is created we may also send the IP address of that request with that one event. We do not store it for this purpose.
What we never send to Meta: your trades, journal entries, notes, screenshots, analytics, AI Coach conversations, or any other trading data. The pixel runs on our public pages and on the page you see right after starting a trial. It does not run anywhere else inside the logged-in app, and it does not run for demo accounts.
Meta uses this information to match these events to its users, to measure and improve the delivery of our ads, and as described in its own privacy policy. Meta acts as an independent controller for some of this processing.
How to opt out, any one of these is enough: choose Decline on our cookie notice; turn off "Usage analytics & ad measurement" in Settings → Security; or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honor as an opt-out. Each stops the pixel in that browser and tells our servers not to send your account's events to Meta. You can also manage ad settings in your Meta account.
Legal and safety purposes
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, respond to lawful requests, or address security issues.
Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your direction or consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so, connect an integration, authorize a feature, or provide consent.
We do not sell trading data
We do not sell your trading journal data. We do not share your individual trade history with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.
When our Meta advertising measurement is active, we share the limited website and signup activity described in "Advertising measurement (Meta)" above. It never includes trading data, and you can opt out of it at any time.
If our practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required rights or notices.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate MAV, keep you logged in, remember preferences, secure accounts, analyze usage, improve performance, and support marketing or attribution where permitted.
For more information, see our Cookie Policy.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MAV, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, prevent fraud, and support business operations.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify information as required by applicable law, subject to exceptions such as legal obligations, security records, backups, payment records, dispute records, and legitimate business needs.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and using secure devices and networks.
Your choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information.
- Export or receive a copy of personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of certain marketing communications.
- Opt out of analytics and advertising measurement (see "Advertising measurement (Meta)").
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Appeal certain privacy decisions where required by law.
To make a privacy request, contact privacy@marketmavericks.org. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Marketing emails
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us. We may still send transactional or service-related messages, such as billing notices, security alerts, and account updates.
International users
MAV is operated from the United States. If you access MAV from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
If GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, our legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
California privacy notice
If California privacy laws apply to us and to your information, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we never share trading journal data for advertising. When our Meta advertising measurement is active, the limited website and signup activity described in "Advertising measurement (Meta)" may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out of that sharing at any time by choosing Decline on our cookie notice, by turning off "Usage analytics & ad measurement" in Settings, or by using Global Privacy Control, which we treat as a valid opt-out request.
To submit a California privacy request, contact privacy@marketmavericks.org.
Children
MAV is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@marketmavericks.org.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated policy, updating the effective date, emailing you, or using another reasonable method.
